Our History

A journey of continuity, adaptation, and institutional growth since 2004.

Community Roots

Al-Ihsan Charity and Development was officially registered in 2004 in Aleppo. In its early years, the organization focused on localized community assistance initiatives, building trust and operational experience through small-scale health, social, and charitable activities.

Responding to Crisis

With the escalation of humanitarian needs across Syria, Al-Ihsan expanded its scope of work to include structured relief programming, medical support initiatives, and education-related assistance. Internal systems were gradually strengthened to manage increasing operational demands.

Institutional Consolidation

As programming matured, emphasis shifted toward formalizing internal governance frameworks, financial control systems, and compliance mechanisms. Sectoral specialization increased across health, food security, education, and protection domains.

Looking Forward

Today, Al-Ihsan operates as a structured multi-sector humanitarian institution committed to measurable impact, regulatory compliance, and long-term recovery support.
